The Soup Company
We are a large family from Vík and we had a little idea about opening up a soup company. We originally started in a “food truck” that we converted from an old WW2 military container in 2017. Now, it’s 8 years later and The Soup Company has become a second home to many locals, used as a meeting point for hikers, a place to have a chat over coffee and cake (which our mother bakes daily), a concert venue for local artists, A well deserve soup stop for travelers after an eventful day of sightseeing.
Second serving
We distinguish ourselves from other restaurants by offering a second serving on our soups. You purchase at the counter, and we assign you a table and bring the food out to you. If you purchased a soup, you are welcome to have a second serving with your choice of soup. It can be another soup than you got originally.
Now, this doesn’t work as a way to “save a buck” and share the second serving with your company cause then we would go out of business pretty fast unfortunately. The second serving is only for the person who purchased the soup originally and we plead to our guests to respect that.
